Many people are now considering travelling abroad for dental treatment to keep costs down, in this blog post we examine whether this is a good idea or not.
It has become quite a common theme for people looking to replace missing teeth at a lower cost. This is, of course an understandable thing to do and so we thought we would write this blog post explaining some of the advantages, pitfalls and things to watch out for if you decide to travel abroad for dental treatments.
Our Dentist in Side has treated thousands of patients from abroad with years of experience.

Always make sure that any dental implant surgeon which is placing dental implants has experience in this area.
These standards differ considerably from country to country so it’s a good idea to do some initial research on where your planned treatment will take place. Does that country have a professional regulatory body?
After we have seen a patient for dental implants we like to ensure that that patient has good follow-up procedures and is cared for on an ongoing basis. Your dental implant integrates into the bone of your jaw and becomes an integral part of your body. It needs to be looked after and cared for the same as your natural teeth and so on going care is absolutely vital.

If you then decide to stay in the UK for any follow-up or remedial work on that dental implant you can at least provide a UK dentist with a starting place for helping you.
You may also decide to continue travelling abroad to see the original dental implant dentist. If this is the case then we would suggest you take into account the cost of travel and hotel fees in your calculations before going ahead.
As Side dental clinic, we have been providing dental treatment services to our guests from abroad for more than 8 years.
Due to our investment in the latest dental technology, our dental clinic is equipped with such features as: the CEREC® crown technology, computer generated ‘Smile Design’, ‘Computer Guided Implant’ systems (dental implants that do not require dental surgery), Volumetric Tomography scanning equipment, and laser systems for gum treatment. Our clinic also utilises state-of-the-art sterilising technology for sanitising our dental tools. We undertake remedial and cosmetic dentistry covering all aspects of dental care, including dental veneers.
The standards offered by us are equal, or if not better than, those available elsewhere in Europe, but are achievable at up to 70% less cost for treatment! So, in our Turkey Dental Holiday package we can offer highly professional dental treatment at affordable prices, while our patients can benefit from a fabulous Mediterranean holiday.
Our most recent patient was only able to travel for 3 days including her arrival and departure day so in essence we only had one day to create her new smile. Using the CEREC chairside technology we were able to create a complete set of 28 teeth in just one day! The result is a great set of teeth with a very natural appearance. We are very pleased with the end result.
